Job Title: Engine Bay Fitter
Location: Luton Airport
Duration: 6 weeks+
Hours: ~47.5 hours p/week
Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri (07:00 am - 17:00 pm)
Pay: £18.30 p/hr LTD
Primary role of unapproved mechanic is to perform maintenance on engines and APUs within the Powerplant Bay
Key accountability and responsibilities
Assist Approved mechanics to deliver safe and serviceable engines and APUs on time and to the
Powerplant Bay Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Ensure all work accomplished is carried out IAW supplied data
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain the work area to the highest standards of cleanliness
Carry out DQS audits as directed by Powerplant Bay Manager
Maintain their H & S duty of care to themselves and others
Ensure all company procedures and policies are adhered to
Participate in working teams to support company and divisional initiatives, or maintaining
departmental Key Tasks / Targets and Standards.
Actively seek work to do and provide assistance to other staff as requested.
Uses initiative to solve problems.
Communicates appropriately to everyone within Thomson Airways and through all communication
Takes control of self-development and accepts appropriate training that will enable a more effective
Support the implementation of both company & divisional initiatives.
Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Competencies
Have the required hand skills to carry out engine maintenance.
Be conversant with AMOS process, aircraft and engine manuals and basic Email
It is the responsibility of the unapproved mechanic to meet the above requirements, however training and support will be given to assist in achieving and maintaining the required standards.
Successful applicants in this role would be required to undergo a reference check for the last 5 years of employment. If the applicant has resided in a country for 6 months or longer within the last 5 years, a Criminal Record Check would be required.
