PLM Engineer (Product Life Management and Engineering IT )

Applications are now invited for the position of PLM Engineer in our PLM and Engineering IT team.

The PLM Engineer, as part of the global PLM and Engineering IT team, will be responsible for development and deployment of new design and product lifecycle management capabilities in support of the Landing Gear Design process in the global development environment.

The Key Activities the PLM Engineer will be involved in are as follows:

*To act as a key member of the global PLM Team in the application and development of leading edge design and product lifecycle management tools.
*To become the lead coordinator in at least one application development domain for product lifecycle management.
*Carry out testing of new application releases with respect to defined processes and procedures.
*Input into application developments ensuring engineering, production, customer services quality, and programme procedures are embedded within new tools.
*To capture & feedback information on PLM system performance and enhancements.
*Roll out new application software versions including user support and training
*Provide daily user support and problem escalation assistance.

In order to carry out this role, you will have:

*Minimum HND in relevant Engineering / IT discipline (or equivalent).
*Strong IT or Design Systems support & development experience.
*Experience of Product Lifecycle Management systems (TeamCenter)
*Familiarity with design systems (Catia V5 - 2D and 3D CAD / Smarteam) advantageous.
*Good knowledge of engineering practices, preferably from an aerospace or automotive background.
*Knowledge of documentation & configuration control procedures, together with an understanding of workflow processes.
*Good verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent general computer literacy skills (Microsoft office).
*Language skills or experience working overseas advantageous.
