Planning Engineer: - Cambridge
A vacancy exists for a motivated, enthusiastic and proactive person to work in the Civil Business Unit of Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, as a Planning Engineer.
The successful candidate will be confident, have a recognised background in aviation and ideally have experience of both maintenance and modification activities.
Key elements of the role are:
*Develop and control databases of work cards to approved data.
*Create, load and control comprehensive work packages in accordance with appropriate legislation, ensuring all required sub-contract work, parts and tooling are identified within.
*Interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications, aircraft technical data and NAA issued information. *Engage in concurrent engineering activities on project based work.
*Liaison with internal departments in order to provide clear and concise work instructions to Production. *The ability to establish working priorities and deliver each product on-time.
*Ability to follow established process and procedures.
*A keen eye for detail and the ability to deal with pressure whilst not compromising quality of product.
*Flexibility and adaptability towards rapidly changing situations.
In addition to having a recognised background in aviation, applicants should have a working knowledge of aerospace regulations and standards applicable to the role, be familiar with standard MS Office packages and, ideally, MAWeb (internal programme). In addition, you should demonstrate good, clear communication skills.
