Excel Technical Consulting are currently seeking an experience planner/storesman for one of our established clients in Africa.

The ideal candidate has aviation background and experience with working in a Part145 organization, with the potential to perform tasks on an independence basis.

You will be responsible to ensure proper, efficient and continues material support for 3rd party aircraft scheduled maintenance, modification and retrofit programs, consumables and in short term and AOG cases to grant smooth maintenance performance as well as monitoring the maintenance schedules in house updates the management with report on current material status to meet the target by:

  1. Planning and ensuring material requirements availability for scheduled maintenance inputs
  2. Liaising with Planning department and Customers with relation to aircraft pre-loads (scheduled maintenance events) for Engineering Orders and 
  3. Monitoring material support during maintenance inputs.
  4. Responsible for purchase of material as per given company procedures.
  5. Monitoring and recommending components and parts stock quantities.
  6. Providing spares liaison and supporting maintenance crew.
  7. Ensuring proper material and (special) tooling handling.
  8. Ensuring return of removed or unserviceable items to store for follow up.

 Main Duties

  1. Monitor aircraft maintenance schedules to ensure complete preload and availability of necessary materials as per production planning schedules. Plan all material requirements for all maintenance inputs. 
  2. Liaise with Planning and Maintenance director with relation to provided / requested maintenance packages or as per required Engineering Order and/or component modifications or replacements and modification parts and kits (SBs). 
  3. Review customer work packages and EOs in advance to initiate action and ordering parts and special tooling in time. 
  4. Monitor the material support of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while aircraft in the hangar and solve material and tooling queries or problems to ensure a smooth maintenance event. 
  5. Communicate directly with maintenance director and customers different solutions.
  6. Initiate action for a timely and efficient method for material procurement. 
  7. Purchasing of material and be informed about material requirements and recommend material procurement with regards to schedules, company policy and existing contracts with third parties (OEMs, vendors, suppliers) to ensure on time compliance at less cost. 
  8. Monitor and evaluate the inventory levels (stock quantities) and consumption of material required on regular basis for the scheduled maintenance and unscheduled removals (parts, components, consumables) to insure sufficient stock available and to avoid critical and AOG situations.
  9. Ensure proper handling of all material requirements of contracted third party maintenance on time to avoid delay of aircraft release. 
  10. Determine together with the Maintenance director and inform customers about close loop repair parts. 
  11. Support by solving queries from repair vendors. 
  12. Ensure all unserviceable or removed items are routed with no delay to the aircraft parts store of customers and repair facilities.
  13. Follow up on rotables and parts or kits not used during maintenance to ensure early return. 
  14. Handle Warranty claims about unserviceable parts to initiate action (e.g. transfer to repair).
