Enjoyable flying from attractive regional UK bases.
Loganair, Scotland’s Airline, is the UK’s longest-serving airline still trading under its original name. We have over 650 members of staff and have bases at or operate to locations such as: Glasgow Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Norwich, Sumburgh, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Benbecula, Islay, Campbeltown and Tiree. We also operate to Barra, Europe’s only scheduled service to a beach airport.
The Loganair fleet consists of 28 aircraft - Saab 2000, Saab 340, Dornier 328, Twin Otter and Islanders, with each having its own special place in our airline.
DIRECT ENTRY CAPTAINS
We are seeking keen aviators to join our friendly team as Direct Entry Captains. You must have a minimum of 3,000 hours flying experience with 500 hours PIC in a multi-crew environment. Turboprop experience is desirable but not vital. We’ll provide a type rating (under a traditional bonding arrangement); or alternatively, if you join with a valid rating on one of our aircraft types, we would be pleased to discuss arrangements to help you make the transition to us.
Loganair offers a highly competitive benefit package including a defined contribution pension scheme which we believe is best-in-class for regional airlines in the UK. If you have reached the age at which you can access a pension plan from an existing or former employer (typically 55) and wish to join us towards the latter stages of your flying career to enjoy some interesting yet challenging flying before retirement, we’re also happy to discuss our ‘Flexible Retirement Contribution’ scheme which offers the opportunity to rebalance your pension contributions.
In addition to Captains, we have opportunities for experienced First Officers to join the team. Ideally candidates should have around 750 hours flying experience and within that around 500 hours experience of operating turboprop aircraft.
All applicants must hold a valid EASA Licence and a Class 1 Medical. Loganair maintains excellent safety and training standards and has a strong focus on the regional communities that we serve. Type training will be provided for all applicants where required.
If you’re customer focused, interested in joining us and meet the above criteria, we look forward to hearing from you. An excellent package is on offer and will be tailored to meet the experience and skills of the applicant.
It includes fantastic remuneration and prospects for progression, Group pension scheme with high level of employer contribution, employee benefits, car leasing, cycle to work scheme, shopping discounts, gym memberships and similar.
