An unusual and fascinating opportunity that Excel are extremely pleased to be working, we are currently looking for a Group Training Co-ordinator for our client based in the Gatwick area. 

Although well established the company in question has recently experienced a rapid growth in both their staff numbers and in their capabilities and have therefore made the decision to implement a comprehensive training and personal development system for all of their production and maintenance staff.

The company works in a variety of disciplines within aviation, including composite and sheet metal production and repair, interior design and installation, maintenance of GSE and Cargo/ULD equipment and component overhaul.
They hold EASA Part 145 and Part 21 approval in addition to FAA, Transport Canada and other regulations and are continually looking to make further acquisitions to the group, this is a company thats going places! 

Reporting directly to the HR Director you will be responsible for putting together an integrated, strategic plan to ensure that all staff receive required operational, product and compliance training. This will begin with auditing the existing staff and training plans and then using this to develop your own structure.  

This would involve elements of compliance, the implementation of a skills matrix and training needs analysis, introduction of a system to ensure all required training for licensed and unlicensed technicians is carried out correctly, a system to report ROI in relation to training and also to work with managers to assess content and develop the actual courses themselves. 

While we do have some preferred attributes the fit of the individual is the most important aspect here.
We feel some experience in training would be beneficial, as would a maintenance or production background but other than that the main attributes would be an organised individual who enjoys a challenge and has a logical, measured approach to their work.
The actual content of the training courses will be the responsibility of department heads, we need someone who can pull everything together into a coherent package.
