Part 145 Trainer

Storm Aviation are looking to expand their training department and require a Part-66 B1.1 and B2 A320 certifier who is looking to increase their capabilities while maintaining their aircraft approval.

We are looking for an experience engineer who appreciates the structure of the industry in that knowledge, skills and attitude are gained from the previous generation, ready to be passed onto the next. The ideal candidate appreciates the balance between, technical competence, operational awareness and sharing experiences within the requirements of Part-145 & 147.

Reporting to the Training Manager, the role holder will assist the training manager for the delivery of training at our head office based in London Stansted Airport. Flexibility is required with opportunities for travel to our other UK stations.

Ideally, the candidate will have prior teaching experience, but full training can be given to the person who has the spark to ignite interest in dry and often regulatory training subjects. The Practical Trainer should have an eye on their own future development and consider this a potential stepping stone towards a greater knowledge of Part-66 , 147 and aviation management.

Position prerequisites:

B1.1 Part-66 licence with A320 Family CFM56/v2500

Training experience with A320 and B737 is an essential requirement

Foundation of Instructional Techniques course (or equivalent)

Good communication skills with the ability to listen effectively

Effective credibility with the ability to engage with all types of people

Flexibility, with a strong will to maintain standards above the compliance bar

Engaging, with the skills to inspire the next generation of aircraft engineers
