Aviation company looking for helicopter mechanics with a minimum of 3 years experience on of the following airframes, UH-60, CH-47 for a overseas job in Southwest Asia. Must have your own tools that are etched and shadowed, and be able to attain a valid passport. This job could be in Afghanistan, or Kuwait. Perform organizational, intermediate, and depot level maintenance modification and repair of aircraft systems. Services, removes, repairs, replaces, modifies, and installs functional components, mechanical and electromechanical systems in accordance with Maintenance Manuals and Test Procedures to ensure airworthiness. The systems include, oxygen, pneumatic, hydraulic, environmental, egress and fuel systems. Performs rigging of control surfaces and services aircraft. Uses hand tools, power tools, gauges and test equipment. Follows and interprets engineering drawings, military specifications, standards, safety directives, and Maintenance Manuals to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Documents work performed in aircraft forms, records and Contract Field Team Workbooks. Typical schedule is 7 days a week, 12 hour shifts with overtime kicking in after 48 hours.
