We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to develop a database system for storage of this data and ancillary configuration to support high performance access for analytics, data mining and presentation (web site). The target system is Oracle, but initial development will use MySQL.

The applicant must be self-reliant and proactive, able to work to tight timescales within a small development team as part of the software group in Eastleigh, while collaborating closely with global GE teams to integrate with GE's core data access solutions.

This contract would be for a minimum of three months.

Essential:

Candidates must have the ability to conduct an MoD basic security clearance to allow for necessary site and data access.

Required:
* Large database (1TB+) development.
* MySQL 5.x
* Oracle 11
* Enterprise Java development


Desirable:
* AMQP
* SOAP and RESTful Web services
* NoSQL and key-value storage
* Agile development
* C#.Net
