Operations Supervisor

Key responsibilities will include:

    • To supervise the running of the 24hrs operations department.  
    • To ensure that we adhere and comply with all requirements/guidelines set by the airport authority, UK Border Force and Special Branch.
    • Being fully converse with the operations required at a level III coordinated airport and ensure the team meet the compliance requirement for slot usage.
    • To communicate through the operational structure any defects, incidents or occurrences that take place during working hours.
    • On a daily basis to monitor and control dealing with our cash based customers.
    • To ensure the correct billing information is used for handling requests and that we also we have the correct billing information for SFS direct fuel customers.
    • To work with the Operations Manager to ensure the team stay compliant and up to date with training.
    • To be able to provide weather information and basic flight planning services to our customers.
    • To be fully converse with the CFMU system, LLA Chroma Fusion system, Online Coordination internet system and Signature FBO Management system.
    • To ensure a safe culture through observations, shift briefings and handovers.
    • To continue to carry out the role of an Operations Controller when required due to rostering demands.
    • To supervise the running of the Operations department.
    • To ensure current training records are maintained.
    • To work closely with the CSR Supervisor to ensure both departments complement each other and also work in close synergy together.
    • Project manager when necessary Diplomatic and Government flights.
    • To carry out people related management and leadership duties such as absence, communication and development
    • Any other tasks to support Operations manager

 

Role Requirements:

  • Educated to A-Levels with a minimum of C grades
  • Full and clean driving license
  • Be proficient with general Microsoft programmes e.g. word, outlook and excel
  • Previous experience of working as an Operations Controller would be desirable
  • To have good communication & listening skills, be a team player and an innovator
  • To be self-motivated and have good time management skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure in an operational environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Flexibility of start and finish times within the shift pattern
  • Ability to work both office based and out on the ramp
  • A willingness to work overtime to cover leave and busy periods
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • A calm approach to problem solving, last minute changes and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Previous team managerial experience would be desirable
  • Strong people skills and a desire to lead a team by example.
