FPS Aviation are presently seeking an NDT level 2 technician for a permanent role in the UAE. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic company in a great location.

PURPOSE OF JOB

 

 

Carry out detailed inspection of components using specialist NDT equipment, identify where damage exists and recommend viability of repair.

 

 

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

  • Engineering/mechanical or manufacturing background
  • GCSE grade C or above in mathematics and science (or equivalent)
  • Computer literate

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Roles and responsibilities are conditional of gaining the associated Green Card Approvals

 

 

  • Set up and calibrate equipment, prepare components for NDT inspection
  • Ensure all equipment is in full working order by carrying out daily checks
  • Process and inspect all sections of components, interpret and evaluate and report on the test results
  • Ensures all components meet required specification before release
  • Move and track work projects to the next relevant work centre
  • Liaise with Production and Engineering teams to ensure schedule times are achieved
  • Understand NDT standards and specifications and translate them for working conditions
  • Train and guide NDT level I team members
  • Prepare, review and revise NDT instructions in line with their respective approvals

 

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITES

 

 

  • Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations
  • Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP)
  • Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
  • Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level
  • Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
  • Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder.  Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external departments
