The Operations Team at Proptech is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic NDT specialist to undertake this wide ranging role.
The candidate will be fully competent in Fluorescent Dye-Penetrant (FPI), Eddy Current (EC) and Magnetic Particle (MP) disciplines.
Non Destructive Test (NDT) Inspection of aircraft propeller components in line with Component Maintenance Manuals, drawings and aviation regulatory documentation.
Using various NDT techniques within EN4179 Level 2 to highlight material defects in components or pass as acceptable to return to service.
Responsible for writing and maintaining techniques.
Performing detailed inspection of propeller components using mechanical measuring equipment.
Maintaining the NDT facility to a high standard, managing all equipment and materials.
Offer training to apprentices and other technicians.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified with EN4179 Level 2 in FPI, EC and MP Inspections
Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent training certification.
Ability to read component maintenance manuals, drawings, engineering layout information and additions to the original design such as Service Bulletins, Service Letters and Airworthiness Directives.
Proficient in NDT report writing and producing Technique documentation.
Ability to use a wide and varied range of precision measuring equipment.
Experience with COSHH and safe use of chemicals.
Good computer skills.
