Summary of Role:
MRP/Material Controller to work in the Airborne Solutions business.
The role will involve process improvements, management of the customer’s MRP, inventory analysis, shortage management, kitting control and maintenance and validity of work orders and their release.
Reporting to the Planning/Deputy Planning Manager
Management of materials planning in line with changing customer demands, ensuring materials are available to the maintenance line as and when required to meet customer requirements.
Progress chase materials through co-ordination with procurement, goods-in, quality and customer.
Create SAP requisitions to enable procurement and ensure all data within SAP is accurate and up to date ie: delivery forecasts.
Creation of Work Order pick lists/BOM’s
Work closely with Program Control’s to ensure full and accurate statusing of the IMS.
Excess, Obsolescence and general Inventory management and reporting, ensuring targets are met and improvements are made
Map, review and improve on current processes and procedures, ensuring best practice are common and adopted within the materials area and across associated Aircraft programs.
Work with Stores and maintenance personnel to ensure inventory accuracy
Work closely with peers to resolve any material issues
Attend daily production meetings and other ad hoc meetings as dictated by contract
Generation of reports, 'what if's' for Program Management and functional heads
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
Good communication/influencing/relationship building skills at all levels
Discipline of execution with urgency

Good time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
Good practical knowledge of MRP/SAP
Innovative problem solver with analytical mind
Attention to detail
IT literate –excel, word, PowerPoint, internet
