Undertake Production Final Assembly mechanical and Electrical assembly/testing tasks on Hawk Mk.165 a/c in line with design and engineering standards.
Transfer of skills and knowledge to indigenous population employed by BAESSA.
Conduct Mechanical/Electrical tasks across Production Final Assembly / Flight Test on the Mk.165 Hawk platform including Final Assembly through to acceptance and delivery to the customer. Testing of Mechanical/Electrical Systems i.e. Hydraulics, Fuel, Avionics and Environmental control.
Transfer skills and build knowledge to Indigenous population employed by BAESSA.
Comply with Foreign Object Debris (F.O.D) procedures and ensure all relevant FOD training has been completed.
Conversant and competent with the use of hand tools, aircraft tooling and measuring equipment in the production of close tolerance components and installation of fasteners/Installation of LIR's to the necessary regulated standards.
Knowledge of the quality standard for the job in hand and awareness of the product / processes relevant for the specific work area.
Demonstrate the required level of knowledge to understand and comply with company systems and standards in reference to reading Engineering drawings and Operational Standards.
Demonstrate knowledge of the tool control procedure and signed appropriate documents confirming full understanding of the content in context of their working area.
Demonstrate an understanding of the organisations Quality Management System in reference to identifying, understanding and the interpretation of processes and procedures relevant to the role.
Aircraft Safety and Cockpit Awareness training must be successfully completed to ensure that the incumbent is knowledgeable in all aspects of Aircraft Safety as defined in relevant Test Procedures and are the expected standards being practised in a live aircraft environment.
Demonstrate a satisfactory level of knowledge when using documentation and IT Systems that supports the build process i.e. Log / History Cards, SAP CAMS etc.
Demonstrate the ability to install and connect appropriate Mechanical/Electrical line replacement items onto Aircraft and its Systems in accordance with specific drawings and standards.
Carry out Mechanical/Electrical and associated systems testing
Display sufficient understanding and knowledge of the retest database and how they can perform tests accordingly using appropriate test equipment.
Demonstrate fault finding techniques and investigate and rectify faults
SMS Trained in Human Factors
Applicants must have served a recognised apprenticeship, have a deep understanding of production mechanical/electrical work and should be able to carry out the various techniques used in the aircraft and support industry.
Significant experience within an Aircraft Manufacturing environment with preferred knowledge of the Final Assembly process associated with the Hawk aircraft variants.
In order for applications to be processed, suitable candidates will need to supply evidence that they have completed a 'time served' full Engineering Apprenticeship which has been formally certificated by a national Awarding Organisation and must include a Further Education component and a Competence component. This should be to a minimum standard equivalent to NVQ Level 3
