My client is a FTSE 150 company with a profitable track record and significant growth aspirations.
They have led the development of inflight voice, data and safety services with thousands of installations on both commercial and business aircraft across the globe.
This is a wide-ranging role which will support the generation of high-quality, consistent and ‘on-brand’ content across all channels, and includes a heavy emphasis on awareness creating and lead-generating marketing activities. Helping to develop and craft key messages, working in conjunction with the Aviation Head of Marketing and Aviation product team, the successful candidate will translate these key messages into print and online content for multi-channel platforms such as advertising, email, social media, live events and web.
This is a content-generating, hands-on marketing role for which creative writing and meticulous attention to detail is key. The candidate must be capable of thinking for themselves and taking the initiative. Excellent copywriting, organisational and project management skills are crucial, as well as the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Work collaboratively with other specialists members across the business unit to develop proposition, positioning and key messages for each service, which forms the foundation of all marketing communications activities
Work with key internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop compelling, effective content to drive our integrated lead-generating marketing strategy using any relevant marketing channel to attract and engage with our target audience
Manage the development and production of content
Work collaboratively with relevant colleagues to develop sales support materials such as case studies, videos, infographics to assist our channel in selling our service portfolio
Brief internal colleagues and/or external agencies and suppliers on advertising/event campaign briefs, design, image and film production
Work with external media buying agency (or manage this in-house) to devise and manage the production of online display advertising, email marketing, PPC and social media campaigns/communications
Work with the Digital Marketing team to develop appropriate website pages, edit copy, schedule the release of content in line with campaigns, including keeping the relevant internal and intranet pages up to date, in addition to briefing in editorial and signing off articles for inclusion in our eNewsletters and ad-hoc communications, such as eDMs to channel
Work with Digital Marketing team to define KPIs, test, measure, review, analyse and report on results of campaigns and other marketing activities to ensure continuous improvement
Work collaboratively with the PR team and brief requirements on Aviation-related press releases
Once trade events have been agreed internally, manage the event process – from start to finish.
Ideal candidate’s profile:
Marketing professional with a minimum of three years’ experience across most aspects of the marketing mix
Excellent interpersonal skills with collaborative working style
Demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit, thriving on ambiguity
Fast moving, quick thinking and delivery focused
Good understanding of, and experience in digital marketing including, ideally, PPC, email marketing, B2B social media, video syndication etc.
Solid experience of working with external agencies and suppliers
Experience in supporting tradeshows and seminars through the production of ad hoc marketing materials
High degree of literacy, first class written communications skills with experience of copywriting for marketing collateral and advertising
Experience in the Aviation or Airlines industry
Understanding of mobile satellite or cellular industry
Experience of working in a B2C environment with telecoms/technology products or services
Degree level educated
