British Airways is looking for an inspirational leader with a detailed understanding of the cabin crew role to set and maintain the direction and conditions that support a best in class cabin safety culture.

Making sure our 15,000 cabin crew have a continual focus on, and understanding of, safety is of paramount importance to our millions of customers worldwide. That’s why we need you to ensure that all safety and compliance matters relating to cabin crew and the cabin environment are identified and properly addressed. Owning and continuously improving our Cabin Safety Plan so that risks can be easily identified and grouped will be key. And, when it comes to making sure safety operating procedures, including training programmes, are in place and carried out to agreed standards, again, it’s you we'll be counting on to be a total role model.

As well as in-depth knowledge of the cabin crew working environment, we’ll be looking for an excellent understanding of airline operations and procedures, with particular emphasis on Flight Operations. Proven investigative expertise is also a given, as is safety systems and risk management expertise and knowledge of EASA IRs. A great project manager with strong negotiating and influencing skills, you have experience of leading and managing a team and are used to interacting with regulatory bodies like the CAA. What’s more, you know how to interpret complex legislation and translate it into clear, practical and cost-effective policy and are adept at quality checking, including audit programmes.
