Lead Maintenance Planner
Basingstoke

Carbon60 are looking for a Lead Maintenance Planner for a permanent position based in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will effectively compile and manage schedules covering base maintenance inspections and rotable forecasts with the objectives of minimising downtime and optimising aircraft availability through effective planning. This role is based in Basingstoke and due to start ASAP.

The Lead Maintenance Planner will be responsible for:

Operational

Produce the long term (up to 5 years) and medium term (up to 12 months) maintenance plans by:
· Liaising with the bases to determine aircraft utilisation rates, maintenance planning work scope and base maintenance input dates
· Working through what-if scenarios and related analysis

Produce the overall HS fleet plan, ensuring that:
· Base maintenance is coordinated across the fleet
· Opportunities to optimise hours burned on rotables across the fleet are exploited
· Ensure that plans cover the full range of maintenance activities, from scheduled maintenance (C and D checks) through Out of Phase checks to component overhaul or replacement, including base maintenance plans and component forecasts incorporating different aircraft utilisation data
· Make recommendations to Engineering teams around optimising rotable and part usage, including costing and assessing the advantages and disadvantages of major projects such as engine changes
· Produce engine maintenance forecasts
· Produce materials forecasts for the Supply Chain team on an 18-month horizon
· Work with and update planning tools and programs, including M/S Excel, RAMCO
· Understand and comply with all applicable safety standards and HS policies

Core Competencies

Previous Experience and/or Qualifications:
· Experience and knowledge of aircraft maintenance and aviation regulations is essential, preferably relating to rotorcraft, such as EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations
· Experience of Microsoft software (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and other relevant software applications such as technical records, AMIS or RAMCO
· Experience of fleet maintenance planning in the aviation industry and how scheduled maintenance inspections are controlled in relation to the OEM approved data

Personal Skills and Attributes:
· Ability to effectively collect, organise, synthesise and analyse data from a wide range of sources, both internally and from customers and suppliers
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to influence and present and get buy in from stakeholders
· Ability to solve problems utilising sound judgement and interpersonal skills
· Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships
· Intermediate level skills in use of Microsoft software (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) in a project planning context
· Confidence to challenge practice and suggest new ways of working that can deliver benefits
· Ability to effectively manage the performance of direct report(s)
· Demonstrate reliable organisational and time management skills with flexibility for change to meet deadlines, often working with minimal supervision
· High levels of integrity and confidentiality
