Reporting to the Engineering Stores Manager, the Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for controlling and maintaining Jet2.com Engineering Transport, ensuring the relevant regulatory requirements are met whilst providing optimum levels of service to all internal customers and operational bases.
You will be responsible for planning, organising and managing the movement of all Engineering spares within an established external and internal network. Maintaining a working knowledge of UK Customs Regulations, including Procedures and Commodity Codes, you will oversee the processing of all material through Stores, implementing any schedule or policy changes as required. You will liaise closely with all external Engineering Transport providers, negotiating contracts as well as establishing and developing Key Performance Indicators. In addition, you will review and recommend Capital Expenditures for acquisition of new equipment or property within Engineering, working in conjunction with other areas of the Business to increase efficiency and services of operations.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, ideally within the Aviation Industry, and must hold or be working towards a DGSA Qualification. You will be experienced in developing relationships and assisting with the negotiation of commercial contracts with external providers, securing prices and service levels in the best interests of the Company.
