Reporting to the Loading Officer, the Loading Team Leader will be responsible to ensure Customer Airlines Narrow body bulk loading aircraft’s are loaded and offloaded safely according to the requirements and laid down procedures. He will also be responsible to notify the Aircraft Dispatcher / Load control of deviations in loading; ensuring that loading is in accordance to the LIRF and the load sheet must reflect the actual loading.
In this role you will be accountable to ensure allocated members of the Loading team are equipped with safety gears and follow the SOP/Safety procedures, sufficient equipment are arranged for smooth loading and offloading. Report irregularities in the incoming flight loading, LDM/CPM to the Turnaround Coordinator, Loading Officer. Check the incoming cargo baggage for damage, leakage or spillage, if any prior to offloading / after offloading and highlight irregularities/discrepancies. Ensure the baggage delivery standards are maintained at all times, the baggage & cargo are safely and timely delivered to respective areas within stipulated timings and also ensure the aircraft hold(s) are checked prior to loading them.
You will be expected to liaise with QAS Airside Operations sections and other departments within the organization to ensure all planned load (cargo/mail and baggage) is safely loaded and secured on the aircraft and achieve On Time Performance ensuring zero transportation delays.About You
To be considered in this role you must hold a Trade or Vocational Qualification, qualified & experienced to handle/load both narrow body non-containerized aircrafts, certified in ramp/aircraft handling and have a minimum of 3 years of job-related experience.
Preferably holding a Airside Operators Driving Permit, certified in IATA dangerous goods training for loading staff, with an experience in baggage/cargo loading and knowledge in Airport Communications systems (DCS/BRS)
You will also have to be certified in basic load control, proficient in ground handling procedures and departure control system. Have excellent communication, with proficiency in spoken & written English and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with individuals from multi- cultural background, ability to work under pressure and react to frequent operational changes. Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills and ability to foster teamwork among team members.
