An opportunity has arisen for a Licensed Engineer, who will be responsible for carrying out aircraft maintenance, line station tasks and AOG recovery.


Responsibilities

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance
    • Perform aircraft maintenance tasks and certify appropriate to approvals held
    • Assist other trades in performing maintenance tasks
  • Liaise effectively with maintenance control to recover tech aircraft as required
    • Assist with aircraft recovery plans
    • Work away from base during your shift period
  • Maintain aircraft status on Company computer systems
    • Update Company systems as required when carrying out daily checks, maintenance tasks and deferring and clearing defects
  • Maintain the control and accuracy of aircraft tech logs and other documents by complying with relevant Company procedures and instructions
  • Maintain an accurate daily handover by completing the handover log ensuring all relevant information is included and all the necessary boxes are completed and that each entry/page is signed
  • Ensure all spares & equipment is booked out on the computer system
    • Comply with current procedures and work instructions.
  • Receive and dispatch tools/parts and equipment to/from the line station
    • Ensuring all parts are correctly handled, packaged and stored in line with current procedures and instructions
    • Maintaining accurate records using company computer systems of stock location and raising correct dispatch documents when shipping items
  • Monitor for sufficient quantities of O2, N2 and other consumables as required by carrying out regular checks and to order items when required
  • Stores environment checks
    • Monitor stores temperature and humidity.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and serviceable condition by carrying out relevant daily/weekly/monthly checks
    • Report any defects to the Shift Supervisor and Lead Engineer
    • Remove from service any items which are dangerous and unsafe
    • Arrange wherever possible for rectification to be carried out
  • Ensure correct disposal of environmental waste by complying with regulations and following the established local policy for correct collection and disposal
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the line accommodation and vehicles by regularly cleaning the accommodation and ensuring that vehicles are left free from rubbish at the end of each shift and washed when required
  • Carry out monthly line station self-audits by completing form QA/051 on the first day/night shift of every month
  • Carry out accommodation weekly checks by checking the condition of the accommodation with reference to the appropriate check sheets
  • Provide line station shift cover and AOG recovery
    • Work away during your normal shift to assist with any line station. To work away during your normal shift to assist with AOG recovery
  • Health and Safety
    • Understand individual operational safety and security responsibilities
    • Be aware of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work 

Essential Skills

  • Aircraft maintenance experience
  • Aircraft engineering apprenticeship/ military training or equivalent
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • B1 or B2 licensed engineer
  • Full driving license
  • Good communication skills
  • Good team player who can work by themselves
  • Good organiser
  • Flexible and committed approach to the job
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment with all your working relationships
