We are looking to appoint current type rated experienced B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers (Avionics) to join our new team in Lincolnshire.  Our LAE’s will carry out line, base and associated maintenance duties across a varied fleet of aircraft with additional familiarisation training provided to the right applicants.  You will possess a desire to contribute to the success and growth of our business.

Key Qualifications and Accountabilities for this role will encompass the following requirements:

  • Good knowledge of CAA & EASA Regulations/Procedures
  • Knowledge of EASA and MAA Part M and Part 145 approvals
  • Supervisory experience in military/civilian aircraft avionic/electrical maintenance
  • Posses a recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, military/civilian experience in avionics/electrical
  • Detailed understanding of all Civil and Military Airworthiness Safety Regulations
  • Articulate in written and oral English

Technical Competencies Required:

  • Good knowledge & experience on VHF/UHF communications and audio systems
  • Experience on ILS/VOR/DME systems
  • Knowledge of SSR systems
  • Knowledge of TCAS & FLARM systems
  • Understanding of glass cockpit systems
  • Experience of compass compensation
  • Knowledge of GPS systems
  • Calibration of pitot/static systems
  • Good understanding of aircraft electrical systems
  • Experience in cable repairs using appropriate PTT
  • Promote and endorse a positive Quality and Health & Safety culture
  • Good Avionic/Electrical Aircraft problem solving skills

Skills:

  • Champion the high standards of engineering excellence
  • Flexible “can-do” attitude is essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Committed to demonstrating a two-way engagement with all customers and stakeholders including people within Affinity
  • Proficient ICT skills, including MS Office, is essential
  • Current on Human Factors training
  • Full UK Driving Licence
