About Your Job

As Licensed Aircraft Engineer (IFE) based in Heavy Base Maintenance, you will be responsible for delivering aircraft maintenance services to directly support operations by providing specialised knowledge and certification or information required to ensure that the IFE system is effective and meets company standards. You will supervise a team of IFE mechanics, technical assistants and would be responsible for the final release of IFE work accomplished by the IFE mechanics. You will also ensure tasks are performed to meet company standards and targets such as despatch of IFE reliability and level of acceptable deferred defects. You will implement solutions to technical problems within your range of authority. 

About You

You must hold a recognised diploma in aircraft trade, be a holder of ICAO (preferably EASA) and  be a Licensed Engineer holding a minimum of one Qatar Airways aircraft type authorisations. (Preference will be given to engineers holding multiple Qatar Airways aircraft type authorisations.) You will also have at least 2 years experience on one or more IFE systems operated by Qatar Airways, not including OJT; Panasonic eX2,Panasonic 3000i , Thales i5000, Thales i8000. You must also have detailed knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals and company procedures and a sound knowledge of air legislation.
