A Learning and Development Advisor is required to work within a team of 12 L&D professionals working across all areas and levels of the business for a large manufacturing company based in Barrow-in-Furness. As an L&D Advisor you will undertake L&D projects which are allocated on a regular basis to ensure we support the overall delivery of one of the businesses strategic objectives - "An Organisation Fit for the Future".
Key duties will involve; - Delivery of specific and targeted L&D projects - based on incoming demand from the business in particular, one of the roles is likely to have a key area of support within the Assurance areas of the business - so SHE, Quality and Nuclear, the other likely to have a key area of support in the implementation of the principles of JSP 822 - DSAT and a bias towards technical/ engineering based training - Delivery of key elements of the People Capability strategy - with specific work packages as projects. - Adherence to the policies and processes aligned to L&D governance both at a local level and across the broader corporate learning structure. - Ability to analyse and interpret complex data and make recommendations. - To produce reports that meet customer and stakeholder needs.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal and non-verbal communication skills which can be used to engage and work with multiple stakeholders - both internal and external and at a variety of levels. You will be CIPD or TAP Qualified or equivalent and have L&D Consultancy skills - including the ability to analyse business issues and design and implement appropriate solutions. Experience of working across all parts of the learning cycle is essential. You will have the ability to provide current best practice advice within the sphere of L&D. Previous experience of working in a complex and diverse learning organisation is required - so a good understanding of how a variety of functional areas have differing requirements and priorities. You will be a proficient user of MS Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outllook and have experience of working with a learning management system. The ability to analyse, interpret and make recommendations based on L&D data is required along with the ability to plan and manage own workload to time and within budget, using basic project management tool.
