An exciting opportunity has arisen in Qatar Aircraft Catering Company as a Lead Materials Officer. In this role your main responsibility will be interacting with multiple stakeholders with analysis and action plans derived from the reports produced from business system, investigating and taking corrective actions from materials report. You will be in charge of implementing internal control measures on material movement and usage within the business as required.
Also your role as a Lead Materials Officer will include maintain fiscal and quality compliance at each step of the way. From goods receiving, storage and internal distribution during the cooking cycle, through portioning, dishing and dispatch process. Moreover you will maintain accurate records material variances through each of the processes for audit purposes and trend analysis. Your daily routine would include working with the Lead Business Improvement Officer and Store Manager to reduce waste and implement Lean 5S and 7 Waste removal.
This position would require you to ensure adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure all operational processes are carried out in efficient and safety manner. Assists in the review and development of SOPs as and when required. You would also perform other department duties related to your position as directed by the Head of Department.About You
In order to be considered for this role, you should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent as well as a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a catering industry. A suitable candidate would be a natural communicator with the ability of work under pressure. You will be experienced with Food Safety Management and MS Office.
