Lead Engineer Optional Equipment / Project Manager - permanent role

On behalf of our client - a young and innovative aerospace company, dedicated in developing a new generation of helicopters, we are looking for a Lead Engineer / Project Manager to join their Optional Equipment team in Switzerland.

For this role, you will be expected to support the mechanical components and systems from pre-development through prototype planning and manufacturing. You will participate in the design, development and optimisation of these mechanical components and systems, and will create, update and manage 3D models and drawings.

Your job will be to ensure the smooth running of the development projects by directing and cooperating closely with various in-house locations, such as design engineers, SCM, engineering, assembly, etc.  

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Completed university studies (FH / ETH / TU) in the fields of aerospace and mechanical engineering;
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in the development of mechanical and mechatronic systems;
  • Sound knowledge and experience with 3D CAD construction, especially composite design.
  • SAP user knowledge and basics;
  • Very good German and English language skills;
  • Experience with handling NX V10 will be an advantage;
  • High independence and communication skills;
  • Experience in Project and Configuration management;
  • Structured and well-organised individual with the ability to prioritise
  • Team spirit and motivation

You need to be a Swiss National, EU National or a holder of a valid Swiss Working Permit to qualify for this role.
