About the Job

As a Lead Cargo Business Analysis Officer, you will be responsible to supervise a team and actively involve in implementing and conducting overall quantities analysis for the Cargo department.  You will analyze a mix of ongoing, and also ad hoc responses to specific decision making issues (e.g. commercial deal profitability, route revenue, shipment level costing etc.). You will be the custodian for Cargo department MIS (Management Information System) databases and maintaining high standards of the same. 

Accountability: 

  • Development and maintaining the Cargo MIS covering all relevant KPIs for the Cargo Division within Qatar Airways.
  • Develop and improve set of required standard reports for Cargo Management and by supporting the development of new systems and processes.
  • Ensure on time delivery of reports both on standard and ad hoc reporting.
  • Active participation in ad hoc analysis of MIS to support all departmental decision making within the Cargo division.
  • You will provide support and partly lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Participate in all projects within the Cargo department and within Qatar Airways.
  • Ensure the Cargo’s repository of data is managed effectively and that high quality standards are maintained.

 

About You

You will be a bachelor’s degree holder or equivalent, preferably majoring in Mathematics or Business Statistics with a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience within an airline with at least 4 years of experience in an analytical role. You should have business modelling experience and experience in using business intelligence and reporting tools, experience or knowledge working on SQL, have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, and have highly developed planning, analytical and problem solving skills.  Experience working with data warehousing and visualization tools will be an added advantage.  You will need to have advanced level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, work, power point) and must have good command of written and spoken English. 

You should be able to manage and lead projects, have good presentation skills and should have the ability to delegate work, set clear directions and manage workflow. You should have strong mentoring and coaching skills.
