The Role

Junior Estimator/Technical Administrator

Client:

Our client is a world-class strategic partner for engineering-driven organizations that develop, support, operate and maintain complex equipment. They serve a broad range of industry sectors, including commercial and VIP aviation, aerospace and defence, manufacturing and other industries.

The Role

Support estimating team and generate proposals related to aircraft interiors engineering design and modifications with technical content and commercial understanding for review and approval. Working from technical RFP’s, LOPA’s and cost spreadsheets, the candidate should be able to understand the scope of work and generate a detailed written proposal that can be read and understood by our Engineering Services customers. Carry out administrative duties as required in support of team needs.


Key Responsibilities:
Understand Customer needs and convert this into the required engineering hours and parts to support the project costing
High quality and accurate proposal writing
Generate and maintain expense reports, sales forecasts, trackers and other related reporting documents
Carry out other administrative functions, as deemed necessary
Travel Booking and logistics
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for travel to work
Ability to travel internationally, sometimes on short notice, if required

Skills & Experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Must be conversant technically and able to communicate at a technical level
Prepare presentations, costings, proposals and liaise with CDG Engineering, Contracts/legal and PMO teams as required
Able to understand the scope of work from the customer and be able to articulate the requirement

QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of experience within aerospace, ideally within aircraft interior modifications. Experience and good
knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel MS Word and MS PowerPoint.

English and Mathematics degree would be preferred. An Engineering qualification and background is required.
