Role: Import/Export Agent (Cargo Administrator)
Location: Heathrow Airport
Hours: Full time - 42 hours per week, over a rostered shift pattern
Shifts: Examples of potential shift patterns are below and the client would need you to be flexible to work any of them if required.
2 days/3 nights on, 5 off
2 days/2 nights on, 4 off
4 days on, 4 off
Salary: £23,300 rising to £25,300 after probationary period - including shift pay and bonus. Approx.
Over time is paid at time and a half (£13.33 per hour) and rises after your probationary period (£14.68 per hour).

Daily running of the clerical operation in the facility
Maintain customer service levels to a high standard in conjunction with the Lead Agent
Support the Lead Agent in all areas of the business
To ensure compliance of Regulatory Bodies e.g. HSE, CAA and HMRC/ Border force.
Liaise with customers in a polite and efficient manner.
Create and update records of all consignments in the computer systems.
Operate telephone system in a polite and efficient manner
Investigate and report on all queries from customers/airlines/agents/HMC
Liaise with warehouse staff and drivers as appropriate.
Update filing as necessary
Responsible for checking Dangerous Goods to IATA / AVI checks
Interrogate the customer systems to obtain information concerning any consignment
Maintain computer database
Separate and distribute cargo documents according to airline requirements
Liaise and interact with Transport division to ensure all airline customers trucking requirements are satisfied within agreed time frames.
Serve Customers collecting cargo including taking payments of charges
Conduct tracing activity and any other relevant action following short/over shipments of documents/cargo
Clerical/data entry experience
Cargo industry experience preferable
Freight forwarding experience preferable
Excellent computer and customer services skills
Must not have lived or worked outside of the UK in the past 5 years
Must not have any unspent criminal convictions or cautions
Educated to at least ‘GCSE’ level standard or equivalent
