Position description

The Supply Management of SWISS designs, manages and leads the whole procurement organization of its Business Units.

We are looking for a Head of Supply Management Operation SRM. This function has a group of seven employees and has a dual role. On one side it leads the development of the SWISS procurement organization within the Lufthansa Group framework. On the other side the team is ensuring a consistent high quality delivery of various articles necessary for the Swiss business. You will report to the Head of Supply Management.

Your Duties

* Development of the SWISS procurement governance and processes
* Representation of SWISS in the Lufthansa Group Procurement Development bodies and take over a global responsibility within this community
* Implementation of Lufthansa Group standards within SWISS
* Manage interface between group-wide sourcing and local implementation (compliance assurance, coordination with local controlling and legal functions, quality and delivery control, transfer price validation, savings validation)
* Local implementation of group IT tools as well as development and management of local IT tools to fulfil SWISS specific SCM needs
* Responsible for the entire supply chain of the crew uniforms (SWISS and Edelweiss Air), mobile phones and various other articles; article portfolio management and development, requisition and demand management, as well as disposition, ordering and order management
* Deputy of Head of Supply Management

Requirements

* Degree in Business or Engineering or adequate long term experience
* Several years of professional experience in procurement
* Several years experience in team leading
* Understanding of financial controlling
* Excellent negotiation, communications and intercultural skills
* Result driven attitude
* Ability to handle and manage conflicts
* Focus on decision making and implementation
* Neutrality and objectivity towards companies / business units and in terms of solution/-s chosen
* Experience in the airline business and understanding of its core processes is an asset
