Head of Compliance Monitoring – Europe – Very Competitive Salary

Vortice Aviation currently have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Head of Compliance Monitoring with a quality and business improvement background for a leading support services organisation who operate in the UK and overseas focusing on engineering excellence.

 

Job Description

As Head of Compliance Monitoring you will report to the Managing Director for all aspects of compliance monitoring across the business. Monitoring compliance with regulatory, BIG/MCS, and customer contractual obligations and conformance to company procedures and safety risk controls.

 

Responsibilities:

Safety and compliance oversight across all aspects of site operations, continuing airworthiness, and aircrew training activities.

Monitor compliance with all safety-related legislative/regulatory requirements, relevant company policies and customer safety-related requirements.

Act as Compliance Monitoring Manager/Quality Manager in respect to AOC/CAMO/Part-145 approval requirements.

Develop, maintain, implement and continuously improve the Compliance Monitoring Programme, including the scheduling and performance of audits.

Establish and maintain the competence of audit personnel to defined standards.

Ensure audit findings are effective and allocated to appropriate person, and that Corrective Action Plans are timely, relevant and effective.

Investigate and verify findings, root causes and contributory factors that are identified, and corrective actions are effective and implemented in a timely manner.

Participate in event investigations in support of Safety Manager

Perform on-going analysis and periodic reporting on audit findings, causes, effectiveness of corrective actions, and relations to safety events and risk controls for the Managing Director and nominated persons.

 

 

Knowledge:

A comprehensive knowledge of:

  • relevant regulatory requirements, including the EASA Continuing Airworthiness Regulation.
  • Compliance monitoring/quality assurance systems.
  • Engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education

Experience:

  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices, in a continuing airworthiness or maintenance environment, as a minimum.
  • Strong background in compliance monitoring/quality assurance at a senior level,
  • Experience of managing/leading audit and multi-disciplinary teams

Skills:

  • Ability to speak a second language desired.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including aviation authorities
  • Ability to work in multi-discipline teams
