Reporting to the Transport and Ground Equipment Manager, the Ground Equipment Engineer is responsible for carrying out the effective servicing and repairs of Jet2.com's ground equipment. Although this role is based at Manchester Airport, travel to our other stations in the UK and internationally may be required.
You will carry out the servicing of ground equipment and repair breakdowns as they occur. By conducting daily checks at the airport you will identify and report defects, ensuring auditable paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and on time. You will also respond to breakdowns of equipment at our other stations, sometimes at short notice, ensuring the consistent operational efficiency of our equipment.
The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in electromechanical repairs and servicing of GSE, light commercial vehicles and plant equipment. With up to date knowledge of current health and safety principles we are looking for someone who shares Jet2.com's passion for delivering the highest standards in safety. You will be required to work under your own initiative, so it is vital that you have excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively communicate information as required.
