To Fly. To Serve. These four words were painted on the tailfins of British Airway’s early aircraft. Pilots wear them still, in the lining of their jackets and on the peaks of their hats. They’re rarely noticed, but they’ve always been at the heart of everything we do. Because they’re not a slogan; they’re a promise. We’re committed to this promise and we’ll continue to build on it.
You’ll play a key role in achieving our legendary levels of service as part of our Global Learning Academy. Your work will touch the lives of our 36 million customers a year as you train our current and future pilots to ensure the timely and safe delivery of future customers. You will be our technical specialist delivering ground training to British Airways and other airline flight crew. We’ll look to you to research, analyse and deliver training in all technical and performance subjects and Standard Operating Procedures for student pilots in compliance with Civil Aviation Authority, European Aviation Safety Authority and British Airways requirements.
You’ll come to us with aviation experience, be it flying experience as a commercial flight deck crew member or completion of an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship. A background in learning and development would be highly desirable, though we can help you develop and enhance your skills in this area. More important will be your theoretical and practical knowledge of all aircraft technical systems and understanding how to deliver our business model. Confident in an environment of continual change, you will have an understanding of human factors and resource management. Your high level of commitment to customer service will set you apart from the rest.
