Excel Technical Consulting have a requirement for an experience airline planner/researcher for a permanent position with our valued client based in the UAE - although please note that this is not a maintenance planner!


The role is to provide fleet planning and research capability to ensure that the clients fleet requirements meet the long term strategy of the airline.  These requirements cover areas such as fleet size, aircraft type, aircraft configuration and performance.


Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:

 

  • Economic evaluation of new aircraft types (aircraft and engine selection)researching interior layouts, product improvements etc
  • Assisting with the co-ordination of strategy in regard to the fleet - long term plans, fleet acquisition etc.
  • Evaluate strategic alternatives in network and product planning
  • Evaluate and Develop new fleet planning tools and research methods


To be eligible for this position, you will be educated to degree level, ideally within engineering, statistics or mathematics disciplines, or alternatively hold a degree in an aviation related subject.

You will also have at least four years experience of Fleet planning within a commercial airline or aircraft manufacturer, and have a sound knowledge of airline performance and aviation economics.  A solid understanding of commercial operations and financial functions in an airline would also be considered an advantage.


In return, you can expect a tax free salary of up to £60,000 per year, with additional benefits such as medical cover and allowances for education and relocation.
