Financial Controller

(based in Budapest)

Purpose of the position:

The role will primary report to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Controlling, and will also be fully imbedded into the Operations team based in Budapest. The position is responsible for supporting and controlling the crew and training costs, from budgeting, forecast and monthly closing perspective. Intensive coordination will be needed with operational departments (crew planning, HR, network, scheduling, training, OCC, cabin crew and flight ops) to make sure that maximum coordination is achieved at the lowest possible cost. The role will also support cross functional projects lead by operational team involving other areas of the company. The candidate should anticipate rotation into other financial controlling areas over time.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluation and analytic support for Wizz operational business cases and decisions (e.g. crew allocation, productivity, crew headcount decisions, etc.)

* Perform periodic reporting over the crew and training activities

* Support in the financial planning, business plan and forecasting process

* Analyze and reconcile crew costs and provide intelligence on deviations.

* Support crew budget preparation and conduct ongoing overview (monitoring and feedback on monthly cost vs. budget results)

* Support network development with cost inputs and profitability calculation regarding crew area

* Develop crew related projects, leading relationship with all involved departments

Requirements:

* University of Economics or College of Finance and Accountancy Degree (but not exclusive, engineering degree + MBA could be acceptable)

* 4 years minimum experience in the field of accounting/consulting/controlling/ is essential

* Background and understanding in general airline operations is advantage, in particular in crew planning or flight ops.

* Dynamic personality

* Hard working attitude

* Strong analytical skills

* Exposure to accounting/controlling

* Excellent Excel, Powerpoint and MS office tools understanding
