British International Helicopters have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Officer to join our existing Falkland Islands Base. Our Operations Officers form an integral and important part of our helicopter operation supporting one of our key clients.

Working on a roster pattern the successful candidate will possess associated key qualities such as computer skills, efficient communication, excellent organisation skills and preferably possess some experience working within military or support contracts. This is a challenging role and will coordinate helicopters operating in both a support role and a 24/7 Search and Rescue role.

Some specific tasks required of our Operations Officers include:

  • Coordination between crews, engineering department and client

  • Monitoring crew fatigue management systems

  • Provision of flight planning material

  • Flight following

  • Communicating with airborne aircraft

  • Coordination of flights

Skills and Experience:

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Proficient decision making

  • Effective communicator

  • Ability to work independently

  • Possess some experience working within military or support contracts

This rewarding role is subject to a security clearance process and ability to meet local work permit requirements.
