Reporting to the Engineering Training & Development Manager, the Engineering Technical Instructor (B1) is primarily responsible for delivering EASA Part 147 Type Rating Engineering and EWIS Hand Skills Training to Jet2.com colleagues across the Companies fleet of aircraft. This position ensures quality and consistency across the scope of training provided and plays a vital role in the continuous improvement of working practices within Jet2.com Engineering Teams.
You will identify training needs within the Company, developing and reviewing technical courses accordingly. You will also deliver the training, responding to a variety of learning styles and needs. In addition, you will produce management reports on technical and training related issues, driving improvement and customising training as a result.
The successful candidate will have experience of developing and delivering training in an Engineering Aviation Environment. You will be familiar with delivering training in EASA Part 147/Part 145/Part M Organisations, ideally with specific experience in Boeing Aircraft with previous EASA approval to instruct either B1 Type Rating and General Familiarisation courses, although support and training will be offered to the right candidate to achieve this approval. The Engineering Technical will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information to a wide audience. Along with this, strong IT skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is also a key requirement.
