FPS Aviation are presently seeking an Engineering Operations Analyst to work for a prestigious rotary client in the West midlands.

This will be a permanent role working 40 hours per week with an attractive salary and benefits package as well as excellent career progression.

Overall Purpose of role

The Engineering Operations Analyst is responsible for Defining, Measuring, Analysing, Improving, and Controlling the UK Operational and Engineering Processes to support improved decision making, with the aim to:
  • Reduce of aircraft downtime;
  • Improve efficiency of operations; and
  • Maximise Profitability.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

•Proven track record of managing data driven continuous improvement analyses within an industrial environment, utilising techniques such as Six Sigma, SPC, etc.
•Experience of data collection and analysis.
•Providing statistically based  narrative reports to Senior Management.
•Experience in using ERP systems, databases and SQL.
•Experience of working in industrial operations.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

•Experience of Reliability Monitoring Engineering.
Aviation/ Aerospace background

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE

Deep understanding of applied mathematics and statistics.
High IT and computing literacy with ERP, MIS and database systems.
Knowledge and understanding of data mining, analysis and presentation.
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including presentations.
Experience with SAP and ERP software.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.
  • Six Sigma formal training
