Morson has an exciting Permanent fixed term contract for Engineering Controllers for Wattisham on the Apache starting in January 2018 intially until 31st March 2019 with a view to a further extension.

There may be the a requirement to work shifts, so must be flexible. These positons are for Mechanical and Avionic trade, ideally have Apache experience but will accept candidates with good experience of other Rotary wing helicopters.

JOB PURPOSE

  • Aircraft maintenance, independent inspector and technical administration.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS - where qualified

  • Chief Technician duties as required, in his/her absence or when directed.
  • Planning and Co-ordination of maintenance and manpower as necessary to ensure tasked maintenance activities are completed to schedule.
  • Preparation of SOWs and all planning activities for maintenance packages up to and including 450 FSP.
  • Assist in preparation of Task Review and Post Servicing maintenance reports.
  • Recording of maintenance activities using SISO/SAMS files.
  • Aircraft maintenance within trade, as tasked by the Chief Technician and IAW with published Procedures and Instructions.
  • Supervise Aircraft Controllers responsible for work crews.
  • Co-ordination of repair schemes, concessions and technical queries.
  • Liaison with MASU as required.
  • Assisting with the drafting and progressing of Mod F760 and F765's in accordance with Depth Operating Procedures.
  • Co-ordinating and carrying out flight control independent inspections of aircraft systems in accordance with MAP-01.
  • Routine operation of the Hums Maintenance Data Station IT system as directed by the respective systems managers.
  • Utilise and interrogate Gold ESP system as required.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance of GOLDesp and paperwork in relation to aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Authorised for co-ordinating signature (clearance for flight) if required.
  • Determining the level of flight servicing required after maintenance.
  • Co-ordinating and conducting quality assurance checks as required.
  • Attend and participate in AHDSU weekly production meetings.
  • Carry out administrative duties in support of operational requirements.
  • Conduct aircraft "Walk around" inspections as directed by the Chief Technician.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have served an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or Civilian or Service equivalent trade training.
  • Must have had a minimum 3 years working knowledge in an aircraft engineering supervisory position.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of UK military aircraft documentation procedures.
  • Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of MAOS.

ORGANISATION

Carry out any other tasks within their capabilities and experience in support of the contract.
