Morson are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Controller to support one of our prestigious Clients based in Somerset.


Supervision of all Line Technical and Non-Technical Operations.


To control Flight Line Operations from the Line Office during their duty shift to meet the required flying programme as defined in Section 9 of Wildcat Maintenance (WM) OP System.

Manage and control all Aircraft Ground Movement carried out by Ground Crew during their duty shift.

Act as supervisor for all on duty Ground Crew for all matters arising during their duty shift.

Control of line GOLDesp / MoD Form 700C Aircraft Documentation during the duty shift and handing such to the Engineering Controller for aircraft returning to the Hangar for maintenance.

Completing GOLDesp procedures IAW WM OP 408 and JAP(D) 100A-0409-01 series of publications to include post sortie updates.

Short-term maintenance planning using GOLDesp, as directed by the Aircraft Controller for their designated aircraft.

Pre and post Flight briefing and de-briefing of aircrew as required.

Carry out the duties of the Aircraft Controller as required in the absence of the Controller and when detailed by the Manager.

To notify the Squadron Operations of any requirements for Flight-Testing or Ground Runs and carry out any detailed Technical briefs / debriefs for same.

Authorised for co-ordinating signature (clearance for flight) IAW MAP-01 when authorised in their individual REA.

Determining and authorising the level of Flight Servicing required after maintenance when authorised in their individual REA.

Liaison with:

Aircraft Controller

Military Technicians

Squadron Operations


Visiting Aircraft


Ground Crew

Fuel Section


Must have served an aeronautical Engineering Apprenticeship or Service equivalent trade Training.

Ideally must have had a minimum 3 years' experience in a Military Aircraft Engineering supervisory position.

Must possess a thorough knowledge of UK Military Aircraft documentation procedures.

Current and competent in the use of GOLDesp.


Be prepared to attend courses for personal development or business need away from site if necessary.

Receive mandatory and continuation training as directed.

Carry out any other tasks within their capability and experience in support of the contract.
