Luxembourg Air Ambulance S.A. (Part CAT AOC, Part M subpart G/I, Part 145) is based at Luxembourg Airport. We fly medical repatriation missions worldwide and perform organ team transport (24/7). Presently, we operate 5 intensive care medically equipped air ambulance aircraft (Learjet 45XR) and 6 air rescue helicopters & 1 police helicopter (MD900/902).

We are currently seeking for immediate entry an:

Engineer – Part M and Part 21 Department

YOUR ROLE:

Your primary role will be as Fleet Engineer, responsible for the continuous airworthiness of the managed fleet.

This includes the daily tasks that are described in Part-M and include, but are not limited to, creating the Maintenance Programme, analyzing bulletins and directives and maintenance data, maintaining the aircraft and engine status and documents. This includes keeping up to date the Technical Records and phase-in/phase-out of aircraft within the fleet.

Secondary duties may involve working within the part-21 DOA and/or as a Airworthiness Review Support Staff.  Working full time with occasional travel – maximum 10% of the time – you will report to the manager of the Engineering Department and NPH for Continuing Airworthiness.

FLEET ENGINEER MAIN DUTIES :

MAINTENANCE DATA AND PROGRAM

  • Retrieval and evaluation of OEM maintenance and service data, service and technical bulletins and letters, modifications, and repair data;

  • Retrieval and evaluation of Airworthiness Authorities (EASA, FAA, TCA, NAA) directives, bulletins, regulations, standards and related documentation for airframe, engine and appliances;

  • Preparation and issuance of Engineering Orders;

AIRCRAFT STATUS AND RECORDS

  • Updating the aircraft airworthiness documentation (Mass and Balance, Dent and Buckle…)

  • Maintaining the aircraft inspection, task and component status in the Maintenance Management System in use.

  • Producing aircraft and configuration status reports;

PLANNING AND MAINTENANCE FOLLOW-UP

  • Updating fleet utilization, reporting utilization to OEMs as required;

  • Reviewing the aircraft status and forecast, preparing workpacks;

  • Reviewing all work reports generated by the Part-145 MO, updating the MMS, scanning and archiving the workpacks and technical logs;

  • Handling AOG situations and co-ordinating the response from the Part 145 MO;

RELIABILITY

  • Gathering and reviewing maintenance events, repeat defects, MTBUR, aircraft utilization;

  • Analyzing trend data, preparing and automating charts and tables;

  • Preparing reliability reports, proposing corrective and preventive actions;

FIELD REPRESENTATIVE

  • Travelling to remote Part-145 facilities to follow scheduled or unscheduled maintenance events

  • Ensuring that the contracted Part-145 follows acceptable standards and all regulations;

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s diploma in Engineering (Bac+5 level) – Structures or Avionics preferred

  • Fluent in English, written and oral

  • Professional MS Office 2010 skills: Word, PowerPoint, Notes, Outlook

  • Advanced Excel 2010 skills; Experience with Data Queries, VBA and Pivot Tables a distinct advantage

  • Programming and/or CAD experience considered an asset

  • Current HF, Part M, Part 145, Part 21, Part OPS training is preferred

  • Luxembourgish, French, German language skills are considered an advantage

  • A team player, able to work autonomously with a proactive approach

  • Able to cope with pressure, to prioritize, to assume responsibilities

  • Willing to learn new processes, ability to travel occasionally

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Continuing Airworthiness, Aircraft Maintenance or Aircraft Engineering

  • EASA and FAA Regulations (Part M, Part 145, Part OPS, Part 21) including bilateral agreements

  • Good airplane and helicopter system knowledge

  • Good knowledge of aircraft standard maintenance practices

  • Knowledge of Technical Publications

  • Experience in a Part 21 environment is considered an asset

  • Experience in a CAT (Commercial Air Transport) environment is considered as an asset

  • Experience with similar type of aircraft is considered as an asset

  • Proven experience in project management is an asset

  • MSG-3 Experience is considered an asset
