POSITION SUMMARY & MISSION:

NOTE:  BUSINESS (CORPORATE) AVIATION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.  THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN AUSTRALIA.   TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY, CANDIDATES MUST HAVE UNRESTRICTED WORK AND RESIDENCY AUTHORIZATION FOR IN AUSTRALIA.

The mission of Engine Technical Advisor & Sales Manager is to generate profitable sales in a timely, dynamic, professional, and consistent manner and to serve as the primary contact for Clients in his or her territory, including handling their needs on routine, minor unscheduled and AOG maintenance events. The Engine Technical Advisor & Sales Manager is required to manage customer maintenance events utilizing the Project Line Specialist (PLS) to assist them in supporting events for which they need assistance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Manager Duties:

1)      Help establish and execute an annual sales budget by market, product, and territory.

2)      Execute the sales objectives for the sales territory on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

3)      Develop sales programs which will help motivate and inspire fellow Sales Team members to meet and/or exceed the JSSI profitable sales objectives.

4)      Aggressively and persistently follow-up on viable leads of new targets generated through the use of JSSI marketing, advertising, and public relations programs.

5)      Work with Marketing to follow-up on a market by market basis, on new “pools of opportunity.”

6)      Providing timely and high quality reports on sales activities.

7)      Consistently follow-up on new marketing campaigns and on all future agreed upon marketing and blitz campaigns in a timely manner.

8)      Follow-up on all appropriate inquiries which are generated through the JSSI website and through marketing campaigns, with the objective of synthesizing the leads into new profitable clients. 

9)      Attend various trade shows, and industry meetings as a JSSI Ambassador.

10)   Communicate in a timely and clear manner on all related business and other issues relevant to executing the duties of this position.

Technical Advisor Duties:

1)      Support scheduled inspections and/or major unscheduled events and issue relevant PO’s to appropriate vendors within the terms of the JSSI contract.

2)      Create and maintain maintenance case records on JSSI systems.

2)      Create Service Calls that will alert the PLS of a future event.

3)      Develops and maintains client and MRO vendor relationships through periodic contact.

4)      Research logbooks and/or conduct visual inspections of the aircraft, engines and APU for new enrollments or existing contracts.

6)      Review and process invoices in the JSSI finance system, meeting turn time goals set forth by Technical Services Management and company policy.

7)      Responsible for event triage, assessing and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately by:

a)      Working in conjunction with the appropriate Product Line Specialist

b)      Handling the event from start to finish with assistance when necessary

8)      Must have a thorough understanding of the current contract, policies and procedures (full training will be provided).

9)      Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Field preferred but not essential

*Candidates must have a legal right to live and work in Australis without visa sponsorship

*Airframe and Powerplant ratings (or the local equivalent) strongly preferred

*10 years’ experience with corporate turbine-powered business aircraft (not commercial) preferred.

*At least three years’ experience directly selling to customers.

*Discretion, good judgment, organizational and management ability, initiative, and the ability to work independently

*Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

*Ability to assist with a variety of complex, confidential, and time sensitive situations

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills

*Strong problem solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills

*Exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused

*Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

*Well organized
