This is an exciting time to join British Airways as Distribution Lead. We have been a leading player in the development of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard, which will bring together the whole travel experience and create new opportunities for all parties in the airline industry. Now, we’re integrating NDC into our global distribution strategy.
You’ll focus on implementing, reporting, communicating and championing our distribution strategy. You’ll specialise in either partner optimisation or distribution development. So you could be implementing distribution & payment channels, driving current distribution initiatives or supporting new innovations or partners. The role will involve working with teams across British Airways, our parent company International Airlines Group (IAG) or our partners.
Maximise the value and profitability of relationships with distribution and payment partners.
Ensure distribution costs are billed accurately and work with our finance team to support budget planning for these costs.
Provide compelling analysis and insights to support our evolving distribution & payment strategy.
Provide constructive input to projects, including proactively identifying opportunities for LEAN and continuous improvement.
With a strongly commercial mindset, you’ll have good knowledge of indirect and online distribution models and technologies within the airline business. A strong understanding of airline selling processes, revenue management, cost planning and distribution is also essential.
We’re looking for experience of planning and delivering projects using recognised project management techniques. You should also be comfortable working with strategic policies and frameworks in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
