Aviation Labour Group is currently hiring Deputy Unit Chief for our client based in Clark, Philippines. This role will be on a minimum six-month contract with an extension or a permanent role likely should you excel.

The job may require you to do the following but not limited to:

  • The planning, organizing and effective allocation of work to the staff assigned to him to meet aircraft check targets.
  • Assisting the Unit Chief to ensure all test equipment, tools, technical manuals and spares used are in compliance with airworthiness requirements.
  • Ensuring staffs under him are adequately equipped to carry out their work.
  • Coordinating with other departments on matter that relates to his work operations.
  • The supervision and control of staff assigned to him with regards to discipline, conduct, decorum and performance.
  • Ensuring good housekeeping practices and safety procedures are observed.
  • Notifying the Unit Chief of any accident / incident and submit the necessary reports in accordance with Flight/ Ground Safety Manual.
  • The general administration of staff assigned to him with regards to punctuality, annual leave, sick leave, daily time records and other regulatory requirements.
  • Certifying and monitoring work carried out to ensure that all works undertaken are in compliance with the company, customer and airworthiness requirements.
  • Ensuring all surplus spares are credited back to stores and unserviceable spares are tagged with the appropriate label and placed on designated racks. All relevant details on the labels must be provided.
  • To provide guidance and mentoring of trainees and apprentices under his charge.
  • Such other duties as assigned to him by the Unit Chief.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in aeronautical engineering, aerospace, or any equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years related experience
  • Effective leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal capabilities required
  • Be available to start immediately.
