What's the role?
Our Compliance Verification Engineers provide technical engineering support through easyJet's Part 21 Design Organisation Approval within various disciplines such as Structures and Interiors.
In this role, you'll join a team of five engineers providing 24/7 Part-21 standby cover. The provision of cover works on a roster, whereby you'll be on standby in addition to your normal working hours, typically one week in six.
You'll work in co‐ordination with easyJet's Maintenance Operation Control Department to manage and reduce the number of structural complaints on the easyJet operation, complying with the requirements of our Design Organisation Handbook and Design Organisation Procedures. You'll liaise and correspond with Type Certificate Holders, Supplemental Type Certificate Holders and third party Design Organisations on technical and commercial issues.
Key responsibilities are also:
Management and analysis of damage reports received from the Part-145 organisation, recording of data on AMOS computer system
Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA); performing necessary investigations and analysis to identify any benefit from a proposed change to type design. Presentation of findings to Management
Airworthiness Directives; identify AD applicability and ensure compliance within prescribed limitation, assignment of any remedial actions
What we're looking for:
Professional Aircraft Engineering Qualification (Degree, HNC) and/or vocational training in the form of a recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme.
Previous experience in an aircraft structure design
Detailed knowledge of Part 21, CS-25 and other airworthiness and regulatory requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of Airbus metallic and composite structures
Thorough understanding of aircraft design documentation, equipment approvals and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Tenacious and resilient in character
