The client, a multinational air charter expert with divisions in commercial, private and cargo jet  sectors is looking for a Commercial Charter Broker to join the team in Germany. The role of the Commercial Charter Broker involves delivering revenue and profitability in accordance with your agreed targets and maintaining high earning key accounts.  This will be achieved by providing adhoc charter solutions to your clients.

To compliment the primary role, it will be necessary to be included in various field activities such as client visits, airline visits, aircraft viewings and flight riding or flight dispatch.

To be effective in this role you will demonstrate proactive sales ability, smart procurement abilities, resourceful aircraft location, creative presentation of offers, outstanding commercial awareness, insightful closing techniques and robust administration with the flight planning arrangements.

 

Responsibilities  

General responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Ø  Achieving targets set for each financial year

Ø  Providing support to the Senior Account Manager in all aspects of day to day trading

Ø  Maintenance and growth of existing client base

Ø  Assisting with client care activities and supplier relations

Ø  Speedy turnaround of new and existing client enquiries

Ø  Ensuring all new enquiries are entered correctly into Axis and updated on a regular basis

Ø  After sales service and orderly maintenance of paperwork/files

Ø  Research relevant industry data to create new sales leads

 

Job Challenges

Ø  Building new business for the Client in a competitive market

Ø  Managing and maintaining high service levels on demanding accounts

Experience

Ø  Good understanding of changing markets both in operators and clients

Ø  Customer focused with good people skills and the ability to form relationships with key individuals

Ø  Ability to communicate effectively, with a strong telephone manner

Ø  Ability to anticipate and out manoeuvre rivals in competitive tenders

Ø  Previous experience working in an international environment

Ø  Ability to generate consistent GP for the company

Ø  Excellent time management skills to ensure rigorous contract and project deadlines are met

Ø  Well organised and resourceful

Ø  IT literate with the ability to learn the functions of a new system

Ø  Numerate, efficient and accurate

Ø  Must be competitive, highly motivated and hungry to win business

Ø  Logical approach to problem solving and adapt at keeping up with a changing situation

Ø  Ability to maintain a sense of humour, even in a pressured situation

Ø  Fluent in both German and English language
