About Your Job

As a cargo sales and services executive, you will ensure optimum utilization of cargo capacity on Qatar Airways (QR) flights through efficient cargo planning. You will monitor bookings and allocate space to maximize revenue on every flight. You will be responsible to manage reservations and bookings based on available capacity, balancing network, yield and regularity of traffic. 

Accountability : 

  • Ensuring the cargo capacity on belly and freighter routes is utilized to its maximum payload/ volume.
  • Implement selling strategies planned by managers for  the assigned station.
  • Effectively maintain accounts, key customers and service the needs of key customers and global corporate accounts.
  • You will plan sales calls and submit weekly sales calls and weekly sales reports.
  • Plan cargo loads based on commodity, density, revenue, ULD and customers and pick and choose the right mix from the available booking queue to maximize the revenue.
  • Coordinate between airport cargo operations and outstations for shipments requiring special handling to ensure smooth movement of cargo.
  • Assist in facilitating coordination between IATA/CASS and cargo offices within the station.
  • You will supervise the cargo operations including Ground Handling Agents (GHA) supervision.
About You

You must have a trade or vocational qualification however a bachelors degree would be preferred. You must have a minimum of 4 years of job related experience from which a minimum of 2 years should be in an airline or air freight industry.

You must have good knowledge of various aircraft configuration and capacity limitation, knowledge of cargo reservations and tracking systems, awareness of cargo products, dangerous goods regulations and IATA/TACT regulations. You must be computer literate and have good command of written and spoken English.

You must also be a good communicator with a team oriented personality and be legally eligible to live and work in Windhoek, Namibia.
