AirAsia India was established on 28 March 2013. Its headquarters are based Chennai, India and became the first foreign airline to set up a subsidiary in India. In April, the airline started recruiting candidates for pilots and cabin crew.
AirAsia operated its maiden flight on 12 June 2014 In June 2015, the airline made Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi its secondary hub for North Indian operations. The airline's first Airbus A320-200 was delivered to Chennai International Airport on 22 March 2014. The airline has received in-principle approval to import ten A320-200 aircraft. On 21 March 2015, AirAsia India unveiled its fourth aircraft with a livery dedicated to aviation pioneer JRD Tata and the aircraft was christened as The Pioneer.

Position: A320 Captain
Base of Operation: Bengaluru, India
License Requirements: Valid ICAO Licence and First Class Medical
Commencement Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 1 year renewable
Salary: competitive salary
Overtime: Paid Quarterly
Travel: Captain Pilot Asia Will receive travel benefits on Air Asia Network
Working Rotations: 9 weeks on/3 weeks off.
Accommodation & Transportation: accommodation and transport provided by airline.
Other Benefits: Tickets provided once a year for return to home country
Access to group policy Loss of License and Income Protection scheme.
Candidate Experience: A320 Captain pilot with a minimum of 2000 PIC hours, 1,000 hrs on type and at least 4000 hours Total time, current within last 6 months
Age Restriction: For Captain up to age 61
