Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course (AME), is approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India. The course is organised in 3 years (6 semesters). On completion of all 6 semesters, after clearing all DGCA module examinations and the practical maintenance training on operating aircrafts as per Civil Aviation Regulations 66, the students qualify for employment in Civil Airlines. We follow the syllabus and method of EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency - civil aviation regulatory board for the EU).
We also offer a BSc. undergraduate degree along as per Bangalore University & Bharathiar University.This is optional for the student if she/he wants a degree certificate along with their License. The applicant must register and pay the extra Fee as per the University rules and regulations. This would assure a degree certificate at the end of your 3 years course and enables you to go ahead with higher studies.
Civil Aviation Authority issues certificates of Airworthiness to private and commercial aircraft which are in fully serviceable condition at all times. Only qualified and certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers who are issued with the license in various categories by the Civil Aviation department are allowed to certify the maintenance, repair and overhaul that is carried out on an aircraft. HAA prepares the students to appear for their DGCA examinations as well, in the "Mechanical" and "Avionics" stream. The students must appear for their DGCA CAR Part 66 module examinations for either B1 (Mechanical) or B2 (Avionics) specifically. Thereafter, complete their OJT prior to them going for type-rating on specific of aircraft made by manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer, etc. Students are awarded theBasic Examination Certificatewhich will qualify them for employment in Civil Airlines.
Eligibility: any body with a passion for Aeronautics and any of the below academic qualifications -
10 + 2 students with PCM or
BTech / BE graduates or
Diploma in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics
Training: The course duration is 3 years / 6 semesters. During the 2 years and 6 months, students may choose to be trained on live operating aircraft. After completion of 5 semesters at our academy, the Students are sent to Aviation organisations such as Air Works, Taneja Aerospace, Air India, Indigo, etc or any other DGCA / EASA Part 145 approved aviation organisation to gain on-the-job training (OJT) in the related field for a period of six months. We have signed MOUs with leading Aircraft and Aerospace companies (a few examples mentioned above) in India to provide Training facilities for our students. This total period of 3 years is counted as an aviation experience by the DGCA for employment.
