Reporting to the Airworthiness Manager, the Airworthiness Surveyor is responsible for the control of Jet2.com's aircraft airworthiness process and certification. This job plays a vital role in ensuring continued airworthiness, identifying and recommending improvements to current and planned fleets.
You will ensure a controlled structure of compliance and procedures are maintained and published to all appropriate colleagues through proper airworthiness review and certification. The Airworthiness Surveyor carry out aircraft record reviews, physical inspections and audits to deliver focused airworthiness reports in support of aircraft airworthiness reviews.
In addition, you will maintain the validity of each Jet2.com aircraft Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC), carry out aircraft assessments and assist with the clean take on of new aircraft through collaboration with Jet2.com teams affected by new aircraft deliveries. The review of data and issuing Permits to Fly when required for aircraft within the Jet2.com controlled environment is vital to the success of this role.

The successful candidate will hold an appropriate Part-66 license, ideally holding Part 66 Type Rating on at least one of Jet2.com's operated aircraft supported with at least 5 years CAW experience or, Aeronautical Engineering Degree (recognised by the CAA) with at least 5 years CAW experience or, 10 years experience in a CAW environment. You must have a strong knowledge of airworthiness legislation and requirements. You will be skilled in aircraft record reviews and reporting, as well as aircraft certification, technical support and maintenance. It is also essential that you have full current and working knowledge of EASA regulations Part-M Subpart I - M.A.901, M.A.903, M.A.904 and EASA Part-M Subpart G - M.A.707 and M.A.710. You must meet the eligibility criteria to obtain Form 4 approval from the UK CAA and subsequent Company ARC privilege approval.
