Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Airworthiness Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day management Airworthiness Reviews and Fleet Management for the Jet2.com fleet. This exciting opportunity ensures the ongoing Airworthiness of all aircraft, contributing to the Safety, Performance and Continuous Improvement of Jet2.com's Engineering Team.
The Airworthiness Manager will manage Jet2.com's aircraft Airworthiness Review process and certification as per EASA Part M Subpart G M.A707 and Subpart I M.A.901. You will make representations for initial Airworthiness Review Certificates (ARC) issued by the UK CAA, submitting the application and associated documentation in respect of initial issue of Certificate of Airworthiness and Noise Certificates. Leading a team of Fleet Management Engineers and Airworthiness Surveyors, you will ensure the process of acquisitions and returns into and out of the Jet2.com fleet is carried out in accordance with Company procedures and EASA requirements.
In addition, you will have a leading role in assessing Engineering colleagues for qualification, capability and competence to fulfil the assigned roles of responsibility. Through the continuous monitoring of defined work tasks, roles and responsibilities, you will provide guidance on qualification and training requirements to perform such tasks and for personal development.

The successful candidate will ideally hold an appropriate EASA Part 66 License or equivalent Aircraft Engineering degree, and possess a thorough understanding of Jet2.com's operated aircraft. With exacting standards and a proactive approach, you will possess previous management experience along with excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt and respond positively to change. Creating and developing strong business relationships at all levels will be a particular strength.
